Bill Stork’s grandfather apprenticed under his brother, John, at The Stork Laundry in Alton, IL, learned the tailoring business, expanded into dry cleaning in the 20’s and owned the first dry cleaning machine in Madison County. Will’s sons took over in the 1930’s and continued as partners until 1958. Bill Jr. joined his father, having finished college and working at Chrysler Corporation as an industrial engineer. After his father retired, Bill expanded to three plants and diversified into interior decorating and remodeling. His next step was equipment sales, sales management and plant design. Dry Clean Design was founded in 2005.
